About Our Images

You might look at our images and think everything is AI generated. Well, you're only half right. The background images are AI, but the soap images are mine. You see I have Parkinson's Disease. And even though I only have tremors at rest, that "rest" period isn't even 15 seconds long. So taking pictures is very challenging.

When I photograph my soap, I don't use a tripod. I handhold my iphone with it resting on a base i.e. a pile of books. This helps keep the camera steady, but it usually takes me several shots during one setting to get one good image of my soap - because my tremors keep returning. I've tried using different props to get what I want, but I must admit a limited budget doesn't make for a quality setting. So I have done the next best thing...

...I've surrendered to AI.

Some would say that's cheating, but for me and my condition(s) (Parkinson's is only ONE of my diseases...I have nine) this is a blessing. My aesthetic has always been vintage, with ancient found soap recipes and historical stories; and when I rebranded in 2025, my aesthetic became Vintage Apothecary - the historic kind full of herbs, spices, and well-kept journals - not the modern goth version.

I'm sure you would like to see proof, so here it is:

So there you have it. My excuse for using ai, but only for the backgrounds. The soap is my image, and my image alone. Why make soap when my body is combating nine diseases? Simply put, it's my therapy. BTW there's one thing ai can't do - it can't make amazing soap! Only I can do that. So hit that button and try my soap for yourself! You're skin will be so grateful.
